My 2006 GMC Envoy heater fan has stopped working. I checked the switch and it is good. I didn't know how to get to motor itself to check it there. Any suggestions?

The blower motor is located behind the glove box. Open the glove box and at the left rear is a wire catch mechanism, push on this and the box will move further down. The motor and blower motor resistor module can be accessed here. Does the blower work on any of the speeds? If yes, then suspect the resistor module. If no, check for a blown fuse or bad motor.

Started in cold weather yesterday. Ran real rough, almost like a motor mount bad. Fan turns by itself when turned with your hand.

If it only happens in cold weather, check your intake manifold bolts for tightness. #5 & #6 by the firewall are easiest to check. Some people will find these not even hand tight = rough running car.

However, if (when cold) your car is vibrating at idle IN GEAR and stopped, this would be a motor mount on Envoys and Trailblazer, very common.

Fan shouldn't turn by itself, you may have a bad fan clutch.

2006 GMC Envoy I6 HVAC fan stopped working. Level 5 stopped about 6-months ago and now it doesn't work at all. I checked all fuses and the cooling fan relay but still not working.

If high speed went out first, then it is the switch.
There is the most arcing in the switch at high speed.
If there was motor or relay trouble, it would effect all speeds.
If there were problems with the ballast resistor, it would effect lower speeds.

2006 Range Rover Sport heater and A/C fan do not

Check all electrical conections. If they are good then it is probably the switch itself.

Heater/AC fan only works on the 4 and 5 settings. Is it the switch? Fan runs well.

Either the switch or the resistors on the blower. Get shop manual remove switch and jump terminals the manual tells you to do to check switch. If a-ok then do checks for the resitor on the blower motor. Hopefully its the switch.
Good luck

A/C and Heater will not blow air..

Blower motor resistor is most common ($20-$70) it controls the blower motor fan and speeds or fan relay fuse (usually under the hood) If it's not either then the blower itself is bad. You can pull the motor and apply 12volts to it to test, if it spins then the resistor.
