Driver side power window controls

My driver side power window controls work intermintently. I have pulled the panel off and sprayed them with contact cleaner also checked the wiring for cracks or breaks and moved them back and forth nothing has worked so far. I also changed the fuse out with the one on the other side this did not work either. All the other window controls work but the driver side

I have a similar problem, I can actually become locked in as the whole drivers side panel becomes unoperable at times.

I was told by the dealer, and also some radio installers that the problem is associated with the d with the remote start feature that I had added on. It happens on about the 40th start. I can stop it by starting the car a couple of times and then it clears.

    I don't think there is a solution.

I have the same problem. Mine is due to manufacture defect as the truck was built to allow the slightest and smallest drop of rain to drip through the ity bity little crack when the window wasn't up tight, and drip into the buttons of the control modual, thus, causing a burn out on the inner board for all the controls of the drivers' side door. Salution!!!! Better have a pocket full of money cause I have only been able to find such part at the dealership for around $220.00. If you want the part at a junk yard, they will sell the whole door to you, but not just that part. If anyone hears of a good part for say, aroung $20.00, let me know where to buy it. Can't be worth much more than that only for it to happen all over again, right? In the mean time, I wired from the battery direct and made my own cobbled up conections so I can at least open and close the window on the drivers' side. Good luck!

I was told its a common defect...just by the way it was made. I took the passanger panel control off and put it on the driver side and it worked...the other dude is right 200-300 at a dealer. I saw one on ebay for 110.00 so im gonna go that route.

How do i fix power windows on 2001 chrysler sebring

if no door or window switches work in entire car start by checking FUSES , then by spraying compressed air into the switches on the drivers door panel whilst moving switches back and forth. then spray some WD40 or electronic componet cleaner into edges of switches whist moving switches hoping they come back to life. then pulling open drivers door rubber harness cover where it enters car. look for wires in the loom that are cracked and broken. this is likely.as wires bend each time door is opened. then remove drivers door panel and test then remove loom connector from door frame and use OHM /volt meter to find broken wires or switches in drivers door problems in drivers door. check for voltage at window motor first. . buy whole new door panel with wiring harness and switches at Pick n pull. if that does not work ..buy a haynes manual and look at wiring schematics. NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER BUY NEW PARTS.

Driver window button is the only one to work

lightly pry the switch up from the driver's door and do the same with the other doors. Check the voltage from the door switch on one of the other doors (it probably won't show any voltage). What it sounds like is the master door switch (driver's side) has shorted out, actually it's in the lockout mode. First try some electric contact cleaner spray, and spray the driver's door switch, make certain that the driver's side isn't in the locked mode for other window operation and if that still doesn't work, you'll need to replace the master door switch.

Good luck.
