No picture sorry, but just after air filter is a large round tube and there will be wires and sensor attached to side of that tube. That is your MAF (Mass Air Flow sensor)

My outdoor air temp. reads -56 degrees when starting car, real air temp is 80, it keeps the a/c from turning on.

Hello, this is usually caused by a bad outside air temp sensor. the sensor is mounted behind the front grill, it has one connector with two wires pluged into it.
here is a picture of the sensor

I need to clean my Mass Air Flow sensor on my 96 Chevy Cavalier. I don't have a owners manual. Where can I find this sensor?

Hello, The mass air flow sensor is located on the air tube that runs from the air breather to the fender. You will notice that it has wires plugged into it, That will be the sensor. Just unplug it and then undo the clamps on both sides of the sensor. You will need to get a good carb and choke cleaner to clean it out. Hope this helps.

Hello, I have a 2006 Volkswagen Convertible Beetle, and my check engine light is on. I got it checked and this is what they said: Code P0101 Mass or Volume Air Flow, Circuit Range/Performance. What does...

It means that the engine control unit (ecu) has recorded a reading outside the required parameters from the air intake sensor. Get the code cleared and check for air leaks around the air filter and intake pipes. Its likely to be an air leak rather than a defective sensor

P1296 No 5 Volts To MAP Sensor

The PAF sensor talks to the ECU and the ECUtells theNAF sensor when to talk. Any voltage to any sensor comes from the ECU. if you have jump started or shorted the sysrem, it coukd take out the ECU. we won't stop on that though, Now you need to go fuse chkg and make sure the Mass Air Flow is securely pligged into its connector. The MAF sensor is the first sensor in the ducting leaving the air filter. Do that before you ck fuses so you don't waste too much time. Good luck

Coolant Sensor

OMG!!! I know that sound all to well I hear it in my nightmares sometimes. You can just short it to ground by clipping the end off, crimping a "O" terminal on the wire and screwing a self tapping screw any where out of sight (as long as it's screwing into sheet metal). Usually it's an air pocket in the top of the radiator that causes it to go off, but due to the laid back angle of the radiator you need a pressurized filler to get it completely out. If you wanted you could take the gauge cluster out and remove the siren also. You can still monitor the coolant via the temp gauge so theres really no reason for the **** air raid siren of doom any longer.
