You should be able to get it to reset by remobing the negative cable for a few minutes-but if it comes right back, you need to find out what the code is that is being set by the ECM-you can jump the OBDI connector to determine what is causing this-use a paper clip, locate the data link connector (it is under the dash on the driver side) and jump the top two right terminals ( A and B) and count the check engine flashes-you will get a 2 digit code (one flash, pause, 4 flashes equals 14 for example)-then come back here to get help.

You can check with someone who has a scanner but if you want remove positive cable from bat for 15 mins if it comes back then you will have to jump connecters to check codes
