The lights will flicker, but once you turn the lights on they stop.Turning them back off, daytime lights flicker again.I am thinking it is the module, is it easy to get to under the dash?A mechanic told me there is a relay involved too.

Also check your emegency brake, the day time running lights also are controlled by that. try pulling the e' brake pedal up with your hand or foot while pulling on the release handle for the emergency brake,it may only be in need of adjustment. thank you for choosing fixya.com

06 Malibu LT Dash lights shut off

hi, gm vech. are elec.complex with logic that is all there own. im a retired ford tech, and gm would drive me crazy sometimes. now some ideas, your dash light are controlled with an ecm, keep in mind, your dashlights and tail lights are on the same circut. i would check your batt. cables, if your ground cable has a high resistance it could cause issues. in fords they had bad dimmer switches that would cause the same issue. if you have someone with an obd2scanner it might have a code.hope that helps.

2005 pontiac sunfire headlights flickering when lights are off, but stop when lights are turned back on.

You have a problem with the daytime running lights system. It could be the sensor, relay or body control module. The sensor is on the top of the dash, there is a panel up there that pops of to access it. (be careful because they do break easily). The relay is in the under hood fuse panel. The BCM is under the dash. It could be one of these or just a bad connection at the BCM,relay, or sensor. These are the reason it flashes. When you turn the lights on manually, it bypasses all of this. Fixing this, you need a volt meter and wiring diagrams.

How do you turn off daytime lights on 2008 explorer? We're going to look at Christmas lights and have been asked to turn off headlights but I can't. How can I?

The daytime running lights are designed to be always on. The only way I can think for you to turn them off is to go to the fuse panel on the left end of your dashboard and pull fuse #8...I'm pretty sure that is the fuse for the DRL module. Check your owner's manual and verify that, ok?

First check your baterry terminals, make sure they are clean and secure.
