Hi there if you have the noise in the first 4 gears and nothing in O/D then have the gear/box checked out as it sounds like you have the layshaft bearings worn badly and that could be bad when.at high speed so answer is drain gearbox oil and check to see if its clear or silver in colour, but drain in a clean dish,but do it hot then it will be thin and HOT.

If it's a sound sort of like a rattling sound then I'd suggest you check your mountings. That means the engine, gear box and exhaust. If what you're getting is a shudder, I'd suggest that either the clutch plate or the clutch cover (pressure plate) are defective. and should be replaced. If it's a vibration, check the universal joints and prop shaft center bearing for seizure or wear.
