It sounds like your firing order was wrong after changing the plugs and may have been further compounded by changing the wires. It may also be a bad connection on the injectors connector. Here is the firing order.
it all depends on if you have a v6 or a v8 under the hood... v6-1,6,5,4,3,2 with number one at the front right engine cylinder and number two on the left front engine cylinder, number one on the distributor cap should be at 9 o' clock when looking at the engine from the front... v8-1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2 also number 1 cylinder at the engine's front driver's side, with number 2 cylinder on the passenger side most front cylinder, number one on the distributor cap should be at 7 o' clock when looking at the front of the engine... also both distributor shafts run clockwise, so should your firing order... or ya bang...
firing order is 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2 standing in front of truck. cylinders on passenger side facing you are 2 4 6 8 cylinders on driver side facing you are 1 3 5 7 now this is your spark plugs wires location on distributor cap.with distributor facing you.2 plugs wire on cap 6 oclock position 1 plug wire on cap 8 oclock position,8 plug wire on cap 9 oclock position,4plug wire cap 10 oclock position,3 plug wire on cap 12 oclock position,6 plug wire on cap 1 oclock position, 5 plug wire on cap 3 oclock position, and 7 plug wire on cap 5 oclock position. in order for this to work you must be standing facing the engine all plug wire location on cap should be correct.
Distributor: ........(back) ............3 ....4..............6... .......................(+)-screw: rounded-end of Cap 8......................5 (+)-screw: square end of Cap .....1...............7 ..............2 .........(front)
Rotation: Clockwise

firing order is 18436572.
Find #1 and start from there. pop the cap to corectly determine the rotation cw or ccw. then wire accordingly. The cap should have a 1 marked on the cap. Drivers side front cylinder is 1 then 3, 5, 7 Passenger side is 2, 4, 6, 8
Good Luck.
have a miss fire in 3 and 5 cylinder on a 2005 Ram 1500 4.7 have relpaced coli packs and still does it have a knock in upper engine around miss fire cylinders. what else can i do
Make sure your firing order is correct. Also if you replaced cap and rotor make sure coil wire isnt loose. If you cant find the firing order its stamped on your intake manifold, cylinder numbers should also be stamped above each cylinder on the manifold.
