Where's the orifice tube on a 4.0 jeep wrangler? It's a 1999 modle

It is located in the AC compressor liquid line which is the smaller of the 2 AC lines under the hood, the liquid line connects to the inlet of the AC evaporator core

where is it, on a 2.5L I4 jeep. 1991. ok. first ever post with engine size.

ok, i see you are reading books or web sites that have generic tuneup information, not relate to real jeeps, yes?
or bob with a toyota told me to change it out? yes?

Guess what?, there IS NONE.
it only has and ORIFICE.
and sure it can clog, and does, in fact i drove for 500,000 miles
in 3 jeeps. and cleaned it vast times.
on one car , the grommet got old and it the orifice collapsed.
and i had to buy a new one from jeep.

when it clogges, the engine leaks oil
and the oil pukes (backups) and dumps oil on the air cleaner.
there is no PCV valve, on this engine. but that dont mean its service free.

this is A./C hvac question.
and is the A/C expansion valve. (yes, it has orifice tubes)

read the book on a/c yet, all read the same..

not no way near like a 100watt light bulb swap, not in the least.

There is quite a bit to do when taking on this job. Below are some pictures of stuff you will need to get to not to mention the instrument cluster has to come out as well. If you think you are up to it feel free to email me at [email protected] with your vehicle information and I will be happy tp send you instructions with pictures. There wouldn't be a cost for it but just want to be sure that you can do this, If you are pretty mechanically inclinde you can most likely do it. You did get a new accumulator and orifice tube didn't you ? Anyway, don't mind helping and way to much to try and post on here.

My Wrangler had the same problem, it ended up being a vaccum leak on the front axle shift motor. It is located in the middle of the front passemger side axle tube.

IS YOUR 4X4 ACTUALLY ENGAGING, IF SO THEN THE BULB BEHIND CLUSTER IS MOST LIKELY BURNED OUT

Put a volt meter on the battery itself and take a reading when it is doing that. If charge rate is over 14v the alternator may be working but the output is not being cut down to "useful voltage" You may have a regulator problem.

Clean the drain plug by the Battery under the hood, It's clogged.
