I have a grand voyager limited diesel. The central locking has stopped working, both via the key fobs and inside the car. However, the key fob still opens the side doors as well as the boot. Same problem for both key fobs. When i press the lock button on the fob, the doors do not lock but the alarm is set.
Any ideas?
Yes, I have had the same issue for the second time with my chrysler 54 plate 2.8 Ltd XS. First time I took the car and keys to the chrysler dealer and they fixed the issue in no time and at no cost. This is the second time (14/08/2008) but no success with the dealer this time. The suggestion is to remove the inner trim of the drivers door, then disconnect the wire for the locking mechanism and reconnect the wire after a couple of seconds. I have tried to remove the trim. What a pig of a job!!! and then given up. Have you managed to fix the issue yourself?Yes, I have had the same issue for the second time with my chrysler 54 plate 2.8 Ltd XS. I have exactly the same problem with an 04 modle, I've tried to find the correct fuse but the descriptions on the fuse box lid don't help at all.I have exactly the same problem with an 04 modle, I've tried to find the correct fuse but the descriptions on the fuse box lid don't help at all.
I took the car back to the dealers for the third time to get the problem resolved by removing the inner door trim. The dealer tried to reset the electrics and it worked. The only issue i had was this time instead of being free of charge came with a one hour labour cost at close on £100 including the vat. I do not know of any way of fixing the problem myself!!!!!

There is only one fuse that mentions 'Locking', but also refers to the General Electrical Module (GEM). If you change the fob battery, you need to reprogram it to the vehicle. Or you could open any Transit around you. Lots of help below including resetting..
