if its like most nissan s you have to remove the glovebox and the fuse box is behind it, the main box can also be located beside your battery, if both tail light blow it will, blow a fuse, so check your lights regular to save you the hassle of looking for fuses.
Open the back hatch door. There are two hex head bolts that hold the tail light assembly in place. Remove them. The fender side of the taillight is snapped on. With a little hand force (don't use a screwdriver, it may crack the light or scratch the paint) you should be able to pop the light assembly out.
The back of the assembly has sockets that hold the bulbs, in small print you should see the word "lock" and a direction arrow. Simply turn the socket in the opposite direction and the buld should pull out. When replacing it, make sure you don't hand the buld directly with your hands because oils from you fingers may shorten the life of the bulb.
to replace the GM tail light bulb, you will drop down the tail gate and you will notice 2 screws on the tail light assembly, you will remove those 2 screws with the proper screw driver, once you do that the whole tail light assembly will come off, then you will see onother 2 screws holding the light panel to the tail light assembly, or brackets holding the light panel to the tail light assembly remove either or and you will have access to the three bulbs on that light panel, replace the burnt one and follow the same intrunctions to put back.
Drop the tailgate, on the inside of bed where tailgate closes are couple of screws.These hold the light assembly in the bed. remove the screws, then remove light assembly. The light bulb can be removed from back of the tail light assembly. Check to make sure the lightbulb work before you put the tail light back together. you have to remove the bulbs from inside of the hood in the engine compartment. in some cars you have to remove some "pins' and remove the entire headlight assembly.. You then remove the holder where the lightbulb is located and replace the bulb.
