My 2003 Ford Expendition keeps coming up with a service engine soon light- not sure what is wrong

That light means there is a problem with one of the sensors on your truck. Take it to a shop to have the computer scanned and they will tell you what sensor needs replacing.

You need to extract the error codes in order to know what is happening. It takes a code reader, and then you use those clues to determine what is wrong. Remember, the codes are not the answer, just a clue in many cases...

There are about a million reasons why the service engine light comes on. It could be a sensor gone bad, needing oil change, wrong fuel pressure, misfiring on a cylinder. So many things will cause it. You can go to Autozone and they will hook it to their computer for FREE and tell you what is wrong.

1999 ford expendition has smoke coming out of the vent
If it is a kind of sweet smell then your heater core needs to be replaced. It's leaking and you should keep an eye on your coolant level until you get it fixed. The smoke is coolant. Hope this helps.

My Ford Explore 2003 has engine service soon light on. What shall I do with it?
Go to an autozone they can read the codes and reset the light. They do this as a free service. If there is a problem and you dont repair it the light will return. Sometimes the light can come on for no apparent reason (no code present) a loose gas cap can trigger the check engine light.
