Accident + car fuses?

I recently got into an accident. The front of the car hit another going about 20 MPH. The car won't start, and a friend told me it is because the fuses went out as a safety precaution. Is that something could happen? what are these fuses called?

This could be caused by what is called a "fuseable link" it is a piece of wire that is designed to carry only so much amperage (current) sometimes when you have an accident and you have electrical shorts caused by the accident the fuseable link will break because of the electrical short. Some cars have fuseable links going to the starter solinoid and if these short out the car will not start. On the focus the fuel cut off switch is located on the passenger kick panel under the dash. The ones I have seen have a red button and you have to press down on them to reset them.

On the Ford Focus, the fuel cut off switch is on the passenger side kick panel.

It may not be the fuses, some ford cars have a feul pump shut off switch.if you still have your owners manaul it should tell you were it is located. its usually either in the trunk on the drivers side of the car or under the passengers side of the dash nead the kick pannel. it will be a black box with a yellow or red round button on top.

Car accident question, regarding who is at fault. An if the other party is guilty of fleeing a accident.?

It doesn't matter, you hit the back of the vehicle in front of you. It doesn't matter what happened to the vehicle in front of the vehicle in front of the one in front of you.

The law says that you must travel at sufficient speed and distance to be able to stop. You are responsible for the damage to your vehicle and the the damage to the rear end of the vehicle that you hit. You were going too fast and too close.

The idea is that when you come to lights or crosswalks, you are preparing to stop, not boot the gas to get through.

Just now, the car makes a grinding sound in the front and won't go over 20 mph.

Most likely you have a bearing that went out. If you take the wheels off you should be able to easily tell which one.

Why won't the fuel pump shut off

Fuel pump won't be the cause. Most likely the relay.

Car doesnt seem to vibrate much at 20-30 MPH but seems to at 60-70. Seems to be drivers side front

Check the wheel for balance and improper tread wear. If you did not hit anything...like a pot holes recently, you may find it is just a defective/damaged tire. Hard to say at this point.

So the shop doesnt know whats wrong, but says its not related to the accident. They dont know squat. Contact your Insurance company and explain what is wrong. All these problems happened after the accident. Insist that they have the DEALER check it out and repair it. They are obligated to repair the car like it was before the accident.. Sounds like a ground issue.
