One wire will be power one wire will low speed wiper and one wire will be high speed wiper.you need to check the grounding of the wiper motor.if you take a jumper wire and attach one end to the battery, or a good ground at the motor or somewhere and the other end then make good contact to the body of the wiper motor and it should work,if it does then you need to permantly hook up a ground wire to the wiper motor.this was a common problem.

Why is my windshield wipers running in the off position, it's like they are running in the intermittent position, but it's in the off position.

When the windshield wiper / washer switch is turned to the OFF position while the wiper motor is somewhere in mid-cycle, the wiper motor module will continue to operate the wiper motor until the wipers reach the park position. If the ignition is turned off while the wipers are in mid-cycle, the wipers will stop immediately where they are. The wipers will park the next time the ignition is cycled to the ON position.

Windshield wipers on 1986 Ford Ranger stopped working

unplug the wire at the wiper motor and then turn the key on and then turn the wiper switch on and test the wires at the plug with a 12 volt tester . if u dont have any thing then ur wiper switch is bad , if u have juice at the plug then it sounds like its the motor.

My windshield wipers quit. They gave no indication of going. On morning I turned them on to wipe the fresh snow away. They started, went about 1/3 of windshield and quit. They went back down and I can't...

The wiper linkage is either broken, or has become un-attached...You will need to remove the wiper arms and plastic shroud above the linkage to inspect...When re-assembling be sure to have the wipers turned off, and in the down position...when mounting the arms back onto the spindles...Hope this helps.

WINDSHIELD WIPERS QUIT WORKING

It could be as simple as a blown fuse. Other problems involve wiring, switch, wiper motor. It needs to be checked by someone who understands wiring diagrams and follows it. Good luck!!!

My windshield wipers suddenly quit working.

First check the fuse, if the fuse is good check to see if you are getting power at the wiper motor. Power at the motor means bad motor, no power is either the switch or wiring.
