I sound like a broken record , bur, try replacing the crankshaft position sensor. If it goes out nothing works right.
2000 dodge ram 2500 truck 4wd the abs light and air bag light were on then the check engine light went on then all of a sudden all the gauges and warning lights went dead and off including the tach and other gauges. But now all the gauges are working and the check engine light went off with all the others and the tach and other gauges are working. what is the problem with this truck ? The only code it read was p1687 from the dtc. Is the problem the pcm or something else.

air conditioner doesn't work when speedometer reads over 43 mph, unless speedometer stops working. when speedo doesn't work, a/c is fine.
