I've been fighting a Soft Clutch pedal for a few months. The Master Cylinder, Clutch, Pressure Plate and Release Bearing were changed a year ago. I have the Master Cylinder adjusted out to it's max, and I've tried everything in-between and the clutch pedal is still low. The clutch releases at the very bottom and once in a while it grinds going into first gear. Every so often I loose my clutch altogether and I have to bleed the system to get the pedal off the floor. It doesn't seem like I'm loosing fluid. I have a new slave cylinder (Not Installed yet) but I don't think that will solve the problem. Could the Shift Fork be bent? Henry 92 rodeo 4x4 soft clutch 1/2 of the floor it's going
My rodeo had the same problem i corrected it by bleeding the slave cylinder. and is located on the driver side on the gearbox you will find it if you follow the line from the master cylinder down to the gearbox and if that helps but happens again it might have to be replaced.
hi there ya all im new to this site had a similar problem with a 3.0ltr d max 2005, bough a new slave cylinder only when i went fitting it noticed the clutch line was actually rubbing against the fuel lines and had caused a hole on my clutch line in turn loosing fluid ,repaired the line with some tasty brazing work and fitted my new slave cylinder ,this is when the fun began was bleeding the line for at least 2 hrs and could not get good hydraulic pressure, the sequence i eventually got a proper clutch pedal was had a good person in the vechicle on the pedal and with the pedal pressed fully push against the push rod of the slave cylinder and then release the fluid via the bleed nipple , lock up the nipple and release the pressure from the pushrod and then the pedal took only 15min to get a good pedal this way irish liam here hope its helpful

I had the same problems with my 1990 Rodeo and found metal fatigue around the master cylinder to firewall area.Used a square of metal plating on the inside of firewall to stiffen the area and reassemble.
At a minimum the pressure plate but not changing everything while in there would be silly
since its a mitsubishi i would install the slave right off . when the master was installed did they replace clutch ,thro bearing and any springs ? i bouth those new arts for mine and had to replace it a week later . sometimes ya just get bad parts from the shelf . pedal almost to floor and not going into gear as well as the grinding tell me there is a failure in hydrolics . replace slave bleed and see what happens . also check inside car on floor where it goes up to meet firewall make sure there is no sign of fluid up there .

lol sorry about the mitsubishi thing but pretty much the same as far as hydraulic clutches go . start at the slave like i said . check for leaks under dash near master .
