Nothing really the code 12 is an opening of the diagnostic session and the code 55 is closing the codes in between are the ones you need to worry about.

2005 dodge dakota tanny wont shift right after engine warm up what should i check

If you have the 3.7L V6 or 4.7L V8, your transmission is fully electronically controlled by a transmission control module (TCM). This module stores codes just like the PCM does for engine problems. Find a mechanic or a code reader that can read codes from the TCM to see if it has any codes stored, and what the codes indicate as the problem. If there are no codes, you may want to try just changing the fluid and filters (there are two) in the transmission.

How to replace the speedometer cable on a 1988 dodge dakota

If it has a cable, it connects to the cluster and either to the transmission or to a speed sensor then to the trans.
Sometimes you can remove the cable from the cluster from under the dash, or you have to remove the cluster to gain access.

94 Dodge Dakota V6 manual transmission will not crank over

Most likely to be one of two things: a bad ignition switch or a blown starter fuse. I think at the front left side of the engine there is a relay box on top of the engine, inside this is a 40amp fuse for the starter. Replace this. (It may be in a different location on a '94 - check your owner's manual) Wiring harness faults at the steering column is a common problem with Dakotas and these can develop a short circuit that will blow out the starter fuse. You may want to carry around a spare fuse with you.
