More than likely a fuse or a relay is bad. locate the fuse for the headlights (owners manual) and check if it is bad, if the fuse is good, find the relay and give it a flick or two and try the headlights then, if they work, its time for a new relay

If all fuses and bulbs are fine, it's probably a problem with the wiring harness. Take it to the dealer. Wiring harnesses are not something to do by yourself unless you're experienced with wiring on the specific car.

SOURCE: High beam headlights quit working. Bulbs are OK.

When you checked the bulb plug and got 12 volts, did you meter ground some where else on the car? If so, you might check ground also at the plug.

Low and high beam headlights don't work. Parking lights, break lights, turn signals all work. Two weeks I had to buy a new battery and but before I bought the battery both low and high beam lights worked...

More than likely there is a bad ground. The same ground wire that is used for the headlights is spliced into and used for the parking lights, brake lights and directional lights. The circuits for the brake lights, the brake light switch, the directions and directional switch are related. The circuits for the parking lights, headlights, headlight switch and high/low beam switch are related as well, but the only thing all these circuits have in common is their ground source. Any questions feel free to write back. Good Luck.

Only one headlight works and stays on High

check the light system, maybe the connection is loose or the cable is broken.

HEADLIGHTS NOT WORKING

It can be faulty headlight switch or issue with its wiring. Or its faulty head light fuse.

My low beam headlights won't turn on in 2004 gmc envoy

It's the headlamp relay #46. If you want to test it, swap it out with the cooling fan relay #45 and see if your headlights work. If they do you know this is the fix. Found the solution online a couple of years ago and it was spot-on. The part was $45 at autozone at the time.
