Orzechowski Ich habe vor wenigen Tagen einen A4 avant Kombi 1,9 TDi BJ 1996 als einen Gebrauchtwagen gekauft. 2006 wurde an dem Wagen Tuning durchgefguehrt, bezogen auf Fargestall. Mehr weiss ich nicht, es besteht keine Dokomentation dazu. Ledeglich ein handgeschriebenes Kassenzetten mit Vermerk: "Fahrwerk 167 789 Preis 499,- Einbau Preis 180,- Zusammen 679,- 670,-" Tatsaechlich liegt der Wagen erheblich tiefer als ein uebliches Auto dieses Models. Mir gefaellt das ganz und gar nicht und will ihn wieder "hochstellen". Meine Frage lautet: Was wurde an dem Auto warscheinlich ausgetauscht, Feder auf alle Faelle, doch ob Stossdaempfer auch und (um Gottes Willen) Schwingen auch? Ich wohne in Polen. Was an Ersatzteilen muss ich bestellen (kaufen), und ob die Arbeit von jeder Autowerkstatt durchgefuehrt werden kann (und darf!). Ich bedanke mich im vorauss. Ihr Orzechowski

..DIESEL ENGINES THE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR IS SCREWED INTO THE OIL FILTER HOUSING ASWELL.PRISE OUT THE CAPS,UNDO THE NUTS AND REMOVE THE PLASTIC COVER ON TOP OF ENGINE.REMOVE THE INSULATION BENEATH COVER (WHERE FITTED).DISCONNECT WIRING PLUG FROM SENSOR AND UNSCREW......BE PREPARED FOR OIL SPILLAGE.Hope this helps you out, Good luck
their isnt one and only the dealer can top them up with a special tool .if this is a 1996 then it does have a dipstick as it was about this time they changed ,their is a rubber bung on intermediate models fill to teh top here but if no bung then its a sp?cial tool to fill from below .
if you put your foot on the clutch all the way down,and then try ALL the gears when stopped.if they engage,without applying any force,then its the gearbox,possibly the baulk ring.

do you have an english translation for DPF ? i can tell you that your car is based on the passat platform(8E) ,a 2006 model(06)and made in Ingolstatd(A).043657 is the chassis #..the paper plate stuck to the boot floor has all the trim codes (blocks of 3 letters)and also the service ragime code.(SG 3/4)
really need the code to begin diagnosing. Even so it will take hands on the figure it out. This is a several hundred dollar problem so paying to diagnose it will be well worth it.
