Your Po449 code means: Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Vent Solenoid Control Circuit. Check to see if anything on you EVAP system has gotten disconnected and make sure that none of your hoses have gotten old and bridle or have holes. If everything looks ok, you probably have to replaced the Vent Solenoid Valve, which is located on the EVAP canister.
You have a leak. Check the oil to see if there is water in it. Withe the engine running, check the tailpipe to see if excess water is coming out. If yes to either of these, then you have a bad head gasket or cracks in the head/block. You need to find where the coolant is leaking in order to fix it.
Check with warm engine and off by touching on your radiator vents whether is in all places same temperature. If not check whether you have air in the coolant which needs bleeding,or not good coolant circulation, caused either by clogged radiator, not good water pump,or faulty thermostat.By having these things it is the possibility the fan switch not getting the correct temperature to allow the fans to start. the last thing if everything is working, the possible is the fan switch itself.
Ususally the thermostat opens at 195 to 200 degrees. Coolant and pressure allow normal temps to go to 230 to 240, and much higher under heat soak condition (unit turned off). Fans kick in near that temp. So, the engine needs to be that hot to be efficient and to have emission controls shift to normal... Also the high temprature prolongs engine life by forcing moisture from the oil.
