First you must remove all of the old intake eqipment but dont remove the metal part with the wires coming out of it that is your map sensere it will have a mesh that is improtant to keep as well. remove the old airfilter box. the instale should be easy just make shure to reinstall the metal peace with the wires uesing the provided adapter. tighten all your hose clamps and install your filter and that should be it.

if you are just shoping around I own the 3.0 L spider and had much better resalts with a short ram intak.

I have a 1991 eclipse gs 1.8 and recently bought a cold air intake and im having difficult time figuring out how to install it. Im not sure if its the right size or not but I cant figure out what happens...

If it has it it needs it.if there is no port for it in the new cai you need to send it back and get one that has a port for it. Or drill it out and put a rubber gtomet in that will fit your mass air flow.

What color is the intale air temp sensor wire on a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT, 3.0L V6, 5spd manual?

There are two wires for the intake air temperature sensor.

The sensor is built into the Mass Air Flow sensor near your air filter.

Pins 5 and 6 (wire colors brown and red/blue respectively) of the MAF connector are for the air temp sensor; Pin 6 is the 5V reference voltage from the ecu, pin 5 is the return signal (ecu input).

Mitsubshi Eclispe 2002

clean and recharge your cold air filter, if you never had it cleaned, you can buy the recharge kit for your cold air filter, follow the instructions, if that doesn't work check your mass air flow sensor, have your mechanic clean it and test it.
