Camshaft and crankshaft timing allinment marks
I don't think they put the timing marks on the main crank shaft front fly wheel any more, since they no longer have distributers. Take out your #1 cylinder spark plug and hand turn your engine crank until the piston is at top dead center, then make your own mark on the fly wheel....I don't think there is a mark any more, unless you have and older car with a distributer....if so...look down on your fly wheel....center front engine about 5/8 of the way down fro the top of your engine. Good luck...be careful.
the transmission does'nt have a flywheel, it does have a tourqe converter,if you have red fluid leaking under the car,it may be a lealing front transmission seal.or a leaking rear transmission seal.if it's leaking red fluid,it's coming from the transmission. if it's black fluid,it may be an oil leak,or green,it may be coolant leak. if the power steering,it may be clear fluid. please repost your question to fixya.com with the color of fluid leak and where it may be coming from under the car. front, middle, rear. thank you for choosing fixya.com.
