2000 ford focus in line fuel filter where is it located

THE EASEST WAY TO FIND OUT IF YOUR FUEL PUMP HAS QUIT WORKING IS FIND UR FUEL FILTER AND RELEASE THE FUEL LINE COMING INTO THE FUEL FILTER WHICH IS SOMETIMES LOCATED UNDER THE CAR APPROX ABOUT WHERE THE DRIVER SEAT IS MOUNTED ON THE FRAME , U MAY NYEED A TAB RELEASE WRENCH THAT SPLITS IN TWO TO FIT OVER FUEL LINE . ONCE DISCONNECTED TURN THE IGNITION KEY TO THE POSITION WHERE UR INSTRUMENT PANEL COME ON BUT DONT TRY TO START IT THEN LOOK UNDER UR CAR AND FUEL WILL SPRAY OUT AT 7 TO 15 LBS PER SEC , IF NO FUEL SHOOTS OUT THEN U DO HAVE A BAD INTERNAL FUEL PUMP .

I know it's not as easy as they make it sound because most need a special fuel line disconnect tool to remove the lines from the filter ends.

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
   NOTE The fuel filter is located underneath the vehicle in the area of the rear suspension.
   
2. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
3. Raise the vehicle.
   NOTE To remove the lines, press the quick-release tabs on the connectors.
   
4. Remove or disconnect the following:
   
   Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) vapor line Fuel filter lines Fuel filter and bracket assembly Fuel filter

To install:

1. Install or connect the following:
   
   Fuel filter Fuel filter and bracket assembly Fuel filter lines EVAP vapor line
   
2. Start the engine and check for leaks.

To install:

1. Position the fuel filter into the bracket. Ensure the fuel flow direction is properly aligned.
2. Install and tighten the fuel pump bracket bolt.
3. Lubricate the fuel tube fittings with clean engine oil. Align the fuel tube fittings and press together until a click is heard and then pull on the fittings to make sure they are fully engaged.
4. Start the engine and check for leaks

In 2001 Ford Focus 2.0L MFI DOHC 4cyl the Fuel Filter is located under vehicle, center, below trunk area, near fuel tank, mounted in fuel line.

Your fuel filter is behind the drivers side wheel liner remove the drivers front wheel then remove the splash shield liner and you will see it mounted to the body of the car .

the fuel filter on the petrol model is located at the front right hand corner of the fuel tank just forward of the right hand rear jacking point and need to be renewed regularly

it's uder the car. follow the fuel line from the fuel tank to the filter. It's likely on the side rail.
however, I don't think it'd the filter. It would do it all the time

do not understand you what you mean. assuming your car was ok before you changed f/filter you need to bleed the fuel system of air. esiest to do would be to loosen fuel line at the injectors and have assistant crank the engine while you observe for clear fuel leak without any air bubbles from fuel line.tighten fuel lines and start engine. might have to repeat a few times. good luck.
