    Same problem with 'Depollution System Faulty' coming up with dangerous loss of power on my 2006 1.6 HDi and it is doing my head in. Internet checks reveal it could be either a;

    1) Faulty Exhaust Gas Pressure Sensor,

    2) Faulty Particle Differential Pressure Sensor,

    3) crappy fuel has blocked your fuel filter,

    4) Faulty EGR valve, or

    5) Faulty fuel pump (in tank - replace tank $$$)

I go to Peugeot in 2 days to get it fixed thus I do not know, but the top two seem to be the most likely causes. If you go to www.aussiefrogs.com/forum/archive/index.ph./t-42958.html this is the write-up I found most helpful.

    Good luck

206 hdi gti 1.6 diesel - march 2005 model.  Loss of power at low revs over countryside type roads. (i.e no problem at high revs on motorway) car starts to **** and finally, warning codes flash up on dash -  'fuel filter blockage' and 'anti pollution fault'.

Have been to specialist, who replaced EGR sensor, this solved problem for about 6 months.  Both same warning lights came up again and seriously bad stuttering / loss of power, took to peugeot where diagnosed empty fuel additive bottle. It had a complete 'regeneration' with new additive at great expense.  same faults in system after regen was carried out,  and dealer has since replaced fuel filler cap 'harness' cable which connects to fuel filter? This cleared all computer faults, However, I am still at a loss - the same faults came up on dash and still 'fuel filter blockage' & antipollution fault, doing exactly the same countryside drive.   It is now 12months since the first fault, and i am driving about knowing there is a good chance the warning light will pop up at any time.

any help / advise / what may need to be replaced next????!! how much will it cost? !!!  Does the fuel filter need replacing?

    thanks.

Where is the fuel filter on a Peugeot 307 HDI 55 plate

I can't definitely answer the question but I expect you will discover a square plastic box at the left side of the air cleaner under the air intake pipe. If you find the box and it has fuel pipes and wires connected to it you have found the fuel filter...

I'm having difficulty locating the engine code of my 2001 Peugeot 307 2.0 Hdi 110 Rapier? I'm only trying to locate it to enable me to identify the correct brake parts to order from Mintex, can anyone...

Hi

I had a similar issue wit another peugeot, best way is to get the chassis number from the log book and phone the dealer they will tell you the engine code, the engine code is on a metal tag on the engine block, with the HDI there is not much visibility to see down onto the engine block so it can be tricky especially if the engine is dirty. I you remove the big black plastic cover over the engine you will have a better chance of seeing it. as I recall it is on the gearbox side.

Hope this helps

My 307 hdi does not accelerate properly

The electrovalve that controls the turbo waste gate needs to be changed it costs around £40. It is located on the front lower part of the engine block. I have done lots of them they are a common fault after about 50000 miles.

"when do i change the cam belt on a peugeot 307 sw diesel"

usually you should do it for peugeot diesel at 122000 miles along with water pump and the tensioner roller that runs under the cambelt too. But to be on the safe side do it at 100000 and save the fortune.
It took me (DIY job) about 6-8 hours as i wanted to save 450 pounds.
