Well, to me 2 things may happened, your manual valve in the valve body is detached or... your boost valve pop out, this is part of your pump, ider way remove your trans pan and check for either one in it, or a clip tnat holds manual valve, if your boost valve come apart you need some one that knows how to put it togheter or a manual for specific trans.
good luck

Sounds like a pump problem.Did you install the new torque converter after you started having problems or before?Did you bolt the converter to the engine and then install transmission or did you install transmission with converter in it?

Hyundai tiburon running at high rpms when shifting

hmmm....it would seem as if your trans is having a bit of a hard time shifting so its sort of waiting before it can shift to the next gear (possible the gear system is having a problem shifting due to it sticking to some gears) i'd have to say....a mechanic can take a look to see why its seemingly shifting late at high RPMs to me IMO the trans is just having a hard time shifting with gears wanting to stick together making the whole trans have a hard time shifting

My 1995 bmw 740il wont shift into manual drive. im not sure what gear cars in but the trans isnt shifting. both of the cables to the throttle is broken i discovered could that be the problem and what

Service the transmission for the shifting issue. However going from auto to manual is an electrical switch. Car wont shift till car is at high enough rpm level.

Changed transmission fluid on crv now car wont start

might be that you accidentally disconnected the crank sensor close to the transmission, this gives a no start condition without a check engine light on most cars...

97 town car not shifting from 1st to 2nd gear

Check the Coolant (antifreeze) level. My 94 continental has a hard time shifting from 2nd to 3rd when the level is low. Also, this may indicate that the transmission fluid is too old to work properly. The transmission fluid is cooled at the bottom of the radiator, since cool fluid works better than hot fluid (especially when the trans fluid is old) that could make the transmission not shift properly. Keep the coolant level up until you can have the trans fluid checked.

My 1990 Chrysler New Yorker 5th avenue will not shift up past second gear.

Probly no one ever changed the trans fluid, now you did and its to late,But get a bottle of Lucas trans slip.cost about 12$ at walmart, put the whole bottle in the trans,it is really thick, so heat the bottle on a register for a good while so that it will pour right in in this cold wheather.Let car run for 20 min. than try driveing it.if it wont move, let it rin another 20 min. if it moves drive it around untill it starts driveing better ,might take up to 3 days to get moved through trans real good.It worked for me on 6 cars now

Hi i have a 1996 probe trans went bad so i put a trans from a 1996 contour the bell houseing was different so i chained it i but it in and the trans wont shift right if i put it in dive it takes off in 3...

Your shifting module(netural park switch) on the trans has to line up with the mark or slot. Key on car off block wheels, put car in first and see where the module shifts and do the same for all the gears to see if they are lining up. All so check the shifting cable make sure its at the right length.

1991 Caprice No reverse. Moves in neutral. All forward gears OK.

What engine? Rear wheel drive ?Sounds like shift linkage or cable out of adjustment slightly. Have a look at where cable or rod attaches to transmission for adjustment. If not sure of what your looking for get back to me with info.
