I'm not sure of vin? My info shows oil pressure switch in parallel with fuel pump relay, so if that switch is functional and has voltage, once you crank it enough to bring up oil pressure, the pump should run even without the relay. The voltage for load side of relay and oil pressure switch comes from ecm B fuse. The voltage for control side of fuel pump relay comes from pcm.
Any other issues besides fuel? Engine cranking do you have spark at the plugs and fuel injector pulse? If your missing the last two, have to check for rpm signal.

SOURCE: 1999 GMC Jimmy won't start.

firstly where is fuel pump relay as i have never seen a GMC jimmy sorry about that but have you ever seen a foden ?? well the first thing is to check the fuse,if fuse is ok which can be checked by looking at it as its transparent or a piece of wire with a light bulb .across the battery.to find the relay is easy if you dont know where it is,When this piece of americana decides to work just turn ignition on and listen for the click of relay ,then when it doesnt start listen for click again or rather an absence of a click, sounds more like a dodgy pump in the tank or the connections going to it.when it wont start try thumping the fuel tank with the ignition on and if it is a sticky pump you might hear it start then at least you will know where the fault is.Another fault that i have come across with relays is that where the relay is passing a heavy load then its possibe for the contacts to burn inside the relay. When this happens then if it is possible to seperate the relay cover and clean the contacts with a points file (remember them ) or a piece of fine emery paper if the cover breaks taking it apart then use a bit of black insulating tape to repair the cover.Thats assuming the pump is in the tank and not bolted to the chassis near the fuel tank but that design with external pump i havent seen on a europeon car for nearly 20yrs .

SOURCE: 2000 jimmy fuel relay switch

It should be inside the Fuse Relay Box under the Hood on the Drivers Side. The Diagram of the Relays should be on the Inside of the Cover, If Not, It is in the Owners Manual. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

SOURCE: 1997 gmc jimmy fuel pump relay location

I believe it's the middle relay in the glove box. You should feel the relay click on when you turn the key's, but you only have 2 seconds.

Where is ecm on 95 gmc jimmy

The ECM on the jimmy, is located on the passenger side fender well by the overflow tank. But before replace the ECM, inspect the fuel pump and fuel pump relay. The ECM sends power to the fuel pump relay and if the relay has gone bad will cause the fuse to blow which will kill the the power to the ECM, in turn kill the electrical power to the ignition system.

Start by removing the fuel pump relay and swap it with another relay and see if the fuse will blow again, if is does. Disconnect the fuel sending unit wire harness at the frame and see if the fuse blows again, if the fuse stays good. Chances are your fuel pump has gone bad or the fuel filter is dirty/clogged causing your fuel pump to draw more amp and will need to be replaced or the wire harness from the frame to the sending unit has a short which is common on older Jimmy's.

Here is a link to the electrical harness throughout the Jimmy.

My 2001 GMC Sierra just made a 600 mile trip. The next morning, the truck wouldn't start (full tank of gas). Replaced the fuel filter, banged on the gas tank. Tried to start the engine again, engine...

When your replaced the pump did you replace the fuel filter? You may have a fuel pump relay causing you some grief. I believe it is located in the engine compartment in the fuse center on the left inner fender. Check the relay and any related fuses. Check the electrical connection at the pump. They had problems with some of them and they would get kind of hot and distort and corrode. They have new updated ones that can be easily installed.

Replace the fuel filter first. When you turn the key on, the fuel pump should run for a few moments, then turn off. If it keeps running, then replace the pump as well. Suggest having the fuel system pressure checked at the engine itself. Hope this helps!

It sounds like an air lock or a fuel pump issue. firstly get the filter changed and bled through this might help. if the problem persists check the pump.

1987 gmc jimmy wont start

yea you have no fuel and sound like a bad harness and the gm's are know for there fuel pump harness's! did you change it when you changed the pump? there is a lose connection somewhere in the fuel delivery system and it's pretty simply! i would check the fuel pump relay on the left hand side of the engine compartment and maybe even put power to the pump at the relay position "b" on the fuel pump relay harness and there should be a one pin connector to put power to also connected to the same position on the relay "b" the wire should be tan and white! good luck
