Re: The VSC, Check Engine, and 4 wheel drive lights all...
I would recommend that you have a diagnostic ran on it, get the codes, and at that point you will be able to see what is in need of repair, or replacement.

This happened to me last year. Coil 6 went bad, but since I drove it for a while like that, it was causing other cylinders to misfire. When I had it scanned, it said all 6 had misfired. I would have your CEL reset and once you have the next misfire, immediately get the code off the car. This should help pinpoint which coil went bad. Odds are, coil 4 or 6 is the culprit, those fail the most due to excessive heat from the radiator.
I am having the same problem with my 2008. The dealer cannot find the problem so is now replacing the computer. very frustrating as they do not know if this will solve it.
pls check the gas or fuel cap gor if closed , if yes , pls open it and close it again but carfully to hear only one clik as mentioned on the top of this cap, then check engine and vsc and 4wd lights will be turned off when you'll turn on your vehicule. pls let me know if it work .
You need a scanner to pull out the engine light codes.
Use a shopu manual to aid you with the diagnosis and repair.
The slip indicator and vsc light being on means these systems are not working. Once you pull the codes and do the repair and erase the codes the lights will go off.
There will be a code in there for the misfiring.
Good luck and keep me posted.
If you had your foot on the brake while starting brake light could come on. If a catalytic convertor does not pass at startup (possibly ox sensor or whole convertor) then the computor turns 4wd vsc and check engine light on. note the six cylinder has three catalytic convertors and the four cylinder has two. Very expensive if convertor(s)
I am having a multiple cylinder misfire on my 2006 Toyota RAV4 with the 3.5L V6. Every cylinder is reporting a mifire. Each cylinder has it's own coil. I highly doubt that all 6 coils went bad at once. Does anyone have any idea what my be causing this?? Is that the problem you two are having?
A few days ago I started the Cruiser and had 4 indicators stay lit.
They were the CHECK ENGINE...SLIP INDICATOR..VSC TRAC..VSC OFF.
Didnt noticed any change in driving and 4-wheel drive is still working.
I removed the negative cable from the battery and the same indicator lights have NOT
come back. Everything is back to normal as far as warning lights go.
Should I take it in to the service center and have it checked.
Or should I wait to take it in, if it does it again?
CONSULT YOUR LOCAL TOYOTA DEALER, AND BRING A BOAT LOAD OF MONEY.
