1992 Honda accord. Runs fine for a little while 5 to 10 miles, the check engine light comes on and car dies. turn it off let it sit, it starts back up and goes some more. The longer you let it sit the longer it runs.

Fuel pump relays are a common problem with Hondas.
I would check the fuel pressure when it won't start.
You may also have a problem with the fuel filter or the pump.
There is a long list of possibilities.
Is the check engine light on ?

How did he seal it? If you are referring to replacing the O ring gaskets, that would mean that he removed the valve cover right? The only correct way to seal up the oil leak is to go to the parts store and get a valve cover gasket replacement kit. If you are unsure, pull the plugs and see what it is still doing. This may not be related to your check engine light coming on though-go to Advance and get your code read and give reply.

check your oil levels,but may well be just low voltage feedback at idle,older fords were notorious for it

Have you checked your alternator?

check and make sure the throttle cable is tight or tighten it a little bit more to give it gas

If the car runs fine until it warms up, then the check engine light goes on and it all goes to hell (sputtering, dying, etc...) then it is most likely the o2 sensor. Take it to autozone and have them put it on the scanner, just be sure to bring it when the check engine light is ON.

Have u checked for spark? U can pull a plug wire off, install a plug in the wire (saves u from taking a plug out), place plug on metal surface, crank engine while someone watches for a spark. If no spark check coil and ignitor (inside distributor). If u have spark check to see if u have gas making it to plugs. Crank engine over (no more than 10 seconds, give it a 10 second rest, try again for 10 sec. etc, ) After doing this for several minutes, pull a plug and check it--it should be wet from gas. If the plug is dry, u aren't getting gas (change fuel filter, check fuel pump). countrycurt0
