1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo It turns on then sometimes it turns off as I put it on drive or it gets stalled. It also makes a funny jerking-jumping move while on driving as it is going to turn off or as if it does not gets enough gas. Where is the fuel filter located? I have not tried anything yet. I do not know where to start. I thought the fuel filter is the most logical staring point.

1999 jeep grand cherokee laredo just stops while driving

Does it stall at idle or going down the highway? Does it restart right away? How long since a tune-up? Are there any applicable trouble codes? Check the cam and crank sensor. Could be other issues?

Sometimes the oil drive housing can cause a sync problem between the crank and cam sensors?

1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo was not firing but now after replacing PCM and crankshaft and cam sensors and checked all fuses and relays it is getting correct amount voltage and will crank but while...

Chk the battery ground cable, Remove and clean. Then chk your charging system at the battery. Should charge between 13.6 and 14.2v If it is charging above 14.2 your alt is barely charging, The further below 13.6 the more amps the alt is putting out. Make sure you battery has adequate water in it. A battery will rejuvinate itself after it has gone dead after sitting awhile, but only enough to last a few minutes. Turning on you headlights would kill it right then.

I have a 1997 jeep grand cherokee with automatic and 4.0 six cyl engine--it drives great for a day or two then stalls out seemingly for no reason--now tonight it has no spark from the coil--so I feel it is...

Unlikely that it's a computer. Check your coil and the grounds, make sure you don't have any breaks in the wires that could cause an intermittent problem.
