Well my 99 dodge intrepid just started not wanting 2 stay running n even if i push on gas it wants 2 stall n wen i come 2 a stop it dies a lot of time even sitting n running it wants 2 die sometimes auto zone put there computer thing on it n it came back as coil 1 n 5 r miss firen but wat they said and im try n 2 find out is there computer thing said coil f is miss firen 2 and they didnt know wat that was n i dont either can u help me plus i just changed the air filter wen this started happen cause some1 said check it n it was bad it even had oil n it now it idols a lil higher then it use it some1 said give it a couple days 4 the computer 2 reset its self n it did 4 a day run a lil better but now its back 2 diein plz help

When filling the tank, stop filling when the pump clicks off. It sounds like you are overfilling the tank getting gas onto the built in evaporator.

well you narrowed it down to a fuel problem. not sure about your model, but most cars have a fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail to reduce un needed pressures. that could possibly be bad. its cylinder in shape and has a vacuum hose connected to it. check the hose and that unit.

it sounds like the fuel pressure is low its either a blocked fuel filter or the fuel pump needs to be replaced

if the timing is off you wouldn't have good compression
make sure you have at least 136-170 psi and the different should not be more than 14 psi.

could be fuel pump, fuel pump relay, bad ECM, or bad fuel pressure regulator.

Here is the most common cause of surges and stalls and low idle rough idle, it is the idle speed control air-bypass valve and throttle valve (IAC for short), they get full of gunk over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

it sounds a lot like the Timing is off. I would locate an Authorized Mechanic to set the Timing.

You don't have a short, you have a battery drain, check the glove box light and trunk lights and any other light that might be staying on, hood, console etc.
