It worked great one day and the next day put the key in turn and nothing. The lights, radio, wipers all work. Charged the battery anyway just in case. It will not start by jumping another car. Opened the relay box but not sure how to test them. But when the key is turned to start the car I do hear a click come from the relay/fuse box. No other sounds from the car. I located the starter( I think) and checked the red battery wire was going to it and another wire was also but where it is located under the car I can not follow the wires all the way to make sure they are okay. Can they be tested where there at? What else can be checked? I need my car school has started and buses do not come this far in the county.
Mine did the click, click and the timing chain had snapped. If any of you have 2.7 litre engines plan on an engine rebuild or a replacement. Look up the 2.7 engine size along with oil sludge and timing chains. Grab yourself a towel to sop up the tears. This car is 100% garbage and I'm shopping for another non Chrysler product this week.

I have the same problem and replaced the starter. This did not resolve the problem if anyone has any solution to this situation please advise I do not want to do any more unnecessary work to elminate what this could possibly be.
I also have this issue. Lights, radio, and wipers work. I have had starter and battery replaced but no resolution. Some days I go out to the car and it starts right up. I get back in a few hours later and it has to be jumped. I was recently told that it "might" be an electrical problem but before I waste more money on another diagnostic im looking for other options.
JUST CLICKED ONCE THEN NOTHING WHEN I TRIED TO START IT.BATTERY IS GOOD.LIGHTS AND ALL ELSE WORK GOOD.IS THERE A FUSE FOR THE STARTING SYSTEM?
It was wet out side the previous day and now I get one click and then nothing. 1998 and had no previous history of starter problems. Any help out there?
