Get to know the sister cars. The Suzuki Swift is almost completely identical to the Geo Metro and the Pontiac Firefly: the only differences were that the Metro and the Firefly were available in sedan form and the Swift wasn't. Also, no changes were made to any of these cars between 1995 and 1997. If you look for parts for any of these cars they will work.

Vehicles mentioned:
1995, 1996, 1997 Suzuki Swift
1995, 1996, 1997 Geo Metro 2/3dr
1995, 1996, 1997 Pontiac Firefly 2/3dr

In addition the only things that changed after 1997 were the bumpers and front turn signals (and that the Metro became a Chevy) so taillights for later Swifts/Metros/Fireflies should work as well.

M i have a 95 suzuki swift the headlights went dim on driverside, now only high beams work and is dimm on driverside, low beams wont come on any ideas

I believe that the make and model of car you have uses a two in one head lamp bulb. I also believe that you are most likely looking at a bad light bulb. Simply go to your local auto part store, give them the year, make, and model of your car and they will give you a new bulb. Some auto part stores will even install the bulb for you free of charge. I hope this helps you. If you have any more problems please feel free to ask.

My oil light has started to intermitantly come on in my 05 Suzuki Swift 1.3. I'm assuming I need to add some engine oil but I don't know which one to buy. Please advise.

Yes, this would be a good indication of low oil. You should try to stick with the same brand and viscosity of oil every oil change. If your car has over 75,000 miles I recommend a High Mileage oil of your choice. Which ever oil you choose I would suggest a 5W30 viscosity. Hope this helps.

My 1995 Suzuki Swift floods at startup untill the engine warms up

Check for vacuum leaks. WIth the engine running, wiggle all hoses around and listen for a hissing sound. Look for a cracked broken or loose hose.
