My 2004 Mercury Mountaineer passenger side sun visor is still good but the plastic piece that holds it in place has broken, where can I order another part or get it repaired? Thanks

check all fuses with a test light.. if find blown fuse keep in mind they have problems with the visors.. where the wires go into the visor get pinched. let me know
Hello, 2004 Mercury Mountaineer fuel filter is located in front and on top of
fuel tank behind two shields. This is for 4.0L 2 wheel drive. When you
look just behind the front passenger side tire you will see the first
shield. Behind that is the second.
usually when the visor break, three things you can do, one is to take it apart( the arm of the visor) slowly and look for a broken plastic part pieces which you can superglue it back together, if the broken plastic peice is not still there and missing then you will have to replace it with the new one. Junkyard or ebay may carry some used. Dealer wont be that expensive either. 3rd, take the lens off and remove the bulb from the visor, this way it wont drain the battery. To hold the visor up you can try to find a velcro tape from auto parts store, by taping one side of the visor and the other top of the roof that way when you fold it up the velcro will stick to one another. this will be a temporary fix.
You unscrew the two bolts and gently take the visor off the mount. There will be a wire attached that has a plastic male/female connection that can be pulled apart. Do this gently. The wire is the power connection for the vanity light located within the visor.
