Is it ok to use carb cleaner to clean sensors like MAF?

NO, need to use sensor safe cleaners like Seafoam. There are also specific cleaners for MAF & other electric sensors. Using carb cleaner will make things worse.

CAR WILL START BUT KEEP CUTTING OFF

Possible problems to check.

Remove battery leads

Remove rotor cap and clean off corrosion with a screw driver and replace.. SIMPLE

Move over to carb and remove hose. Open Air cleaner box and check to see if filter is dirty (replace at later time if it is)

While carb hose is removed spray some car cleaner into the carb with flap closed You will notice a black hole before the flap, spray some in there too and use a rag to clean it up a bit. Now spray carb cleaner inside the carb w flap open and use same rag as far as you can push it down to clean inside. Next spray all connections on outside of carb and move them around. Wipe everything clean again and replace hose.

It could be a temperature sensor. you can't clean it but unplug it, inspect and replug back in. look part up on net so you know what your looking for..or check EBAY for a pic and price if you need one. Not a bad Idea to replace since so cheap anyway especially if car is older.

EGR VALVE...ok, here you will need a few tools. Look for video on it's removal (simple but time consuming. Remove EGR valve and spray carb cleaner in everything and try to clean with rag, cue tips pipe cleaners (wire with fuzz on it) Clean it twice as it's expensive to replace and could be problem , then put it back in after it dries out. (don't forget to spray and clean carbon out of metal tube leading to the EGR valve.

While car is off check oil. radiator and windshield fluids while you wait for things to dry. Dont spray to much carb cleaner in carb or you will flood it with **** and will be hard to start.

Turn car on take it for a spin and see if that fixed prob. Total work time for above approx. 1 hour if your slow. Total savings if fixed 3-900 dollars. Your cost..a can of carb cleaner $4.00

Once you get home whether working well or not, CHECK Trans fluid level and refill to PROPER level. Not to much. Believe it or not this can cause problems as well and needs to be at proper level.

Hope one of these helps.

I THINK FUEL INJECTORS ARE CLOGED

If you think they are dirty the easest way to clean them from home run it till it only has a quarter of a tank then go to the parts store and buy 3 can/bottles os SEA FOAM (red & white can) dump in tank and drive it like you stole it.

Maybe fuel injection?

TRY REPLACING THE FUEL FILTER , IF THAT HELPS ,BUT DOESN'T FIX IT,IT MAY BE THE FUEL PUMP,BUT IT'S DOUBTFUL IF IT RUNS GOOD AFTER DRIVING THE CAR ,THEN YOU CAN TRY CLEANING THE THROTTLE BODY,IF THAT DOESN'T HELP ,MAKE SURE TO GET THROTTLE BODY & INTAKE CLEANER SPRAY, BECAUSE OTHER SPRAYS,SUCH AS CARB OR BRAKE CLEANER, ETC, WILL DAMAGE IT ,& ALSO GET SOME MAF (MASS AIR FLOW) SENSOR CLEANER SPRAY & CLEAN THE MAF (MASS AIR FLOW) SENSOR ,TO DO BOTH YOU WILL HAVE TO REMOVE THE AIR INTAKE TUBE AND AIR FILTER BOX COVER ,WHEN CLEANING THE THROTTLE BODY YOU NEED TO OPEN THE FLAP IN THE THROTTLE BODY BY EITHER HAVING SOMEONE PRESS THE GAS PEDAL OR YOU CAN DO IT BY HAND TO GET ALL OF IT, AND THE INSIDE OF THE INTAKE CLEAN,YOU WILL WANT TO PUT AN OLD RAG OR SOMETHING UNDER THE OPENING TO CATCH THE EXCESS CLEANER COMING BACK OUT,YOU CAN ALSO USE YOUR FINGER TO HELP GET THE BLACK OILY SOOT OFF OF THE FLAP & AROUND THE INSIDE OF THE TB (THROTTLE BODY) ,BUT DON'T SPRAY TOO MUCH LIKE 3/4 OF THE CAN INSIDE THE INTAKE ,BECAUSE IT WILL FLOOD THE ENGINE,& IT COULD VAPOR LOCK THE ENGINE, IT WILL TAKE A FEW MOMENTS TO CRANK,AND YOU WILL HAVE TO HOLD THE GAS PEDAL DOWN JUST A LITTLE AFTER IT CRANKS TO CLEAR IT OUT AFTER CLEANING IT ,BUT SAVE SOME OF THE SPRAY TO USE WHILE IT IS RUNNING ,YOU WILL HAVE TO WORK THE THROTTLE BY HAND OR HAVE SOMEBODY INSIDE THE CAR TO DO THIS ,BUT BE SURE NOT TO OVER REV IT ,AND DON'T SPRAY FOR TOO LONG OR THE CATS WILL GET TOO HOT AND TURN CHERRY RED, & OF COURSE THERE ARE OTHER THINGS IT COULD BE ,BUT TRY THOSE FIRST ,& IF THOSE DON'T WORK,WRITE ON HERE AGAIN ,AND SOMEBODY WILL HELP.

Idle Air Control valve.
the little valve can get clogged with oil, dirt, and carbon build up. you can try to clean this by removing it and with carb spray cleaner and an old tooth brush scrub it a bit otherwise a str8 replacement with new gasket. it is located on the throttle body after the throttle plate section. Your local Aut parts store shouldbe able to print out a component diagram or at least be able to show you where it is.

sounds like plug up injector try cleaning injector not by put in injector cleaner in the tank ,if that doesn't solve your problem, you probably need to replace your injector whit the new in prove ones.cosidering that someone check pressure and they found at least 62 psi

How to take down the aidle speed when the aire cond is on

I'd pull IAC valve off first & clean pintle (pointed part) and port valve came out of good with carb cleaner or throttle body cleaner & try that . If it cures it, then starts to act up again later, replace it.
