When you say brights do you mean the sidelights or the dip lights ,if dip lights try changing the stalk switch or at least testing it with a meter to see if it has a feed out when moved backwards and forewards

Headlights not bright

It's very difficult to see how a keyless remote could cause the problem you describe, to be honest.

The problem may lie in the reflective shield inside the headlight though you would notice any defects.

I'd still check the earth wires for the headlights though.

My 2006 dodge ram 1500 headlights flicker on and of when the truck it turned on but the headlights are turned off. Can anybody help???

You will need to replace the headlight switch and the headlight switch connector, they are burned, it is a comm,on issue. Solder the repair connector on do not crimp connect it!

Same problem with a 95 1500. Replaced the signal switch but did not solve it. Have been told it is the headlight switch but have not tried it yet.

I have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 4x4. my headlights don''t work but if i hold the bright light switch back like i''m turning my brights on, my lights work, but only if i hold the switch back without letting it...

Dodge had a problem with bad headlamp switches. They will get hot enough to melt the switch and the connectors. Replacement switch comes with new connector and pigtail wires which require cutting the old wires and soldering new ones to the old and seal with shrink tubing. Do NOT attach with crimp connectors (**** connector). Take the extra effort to do a proper solder job on them. The switch is pricey - mine cost me about $100 from the dealer.

Problem with Replacement Headlights

Sounds like you need to contact the people whom you got them from and see what they say. Sometimes those weird euro headlights don't function correctly. You have the same plug, but now you have 2 bulbs instead of 1 drawing juice from the same source. When you double the load, but keep the source the same, you will have problems.

Did you take a voltage reading at socket of dim one compared to bright one?
