My hazard lights won't come on at all. The turn signals work fine, as long as the hazard button is not depressed. The hazards used to work, but if the hazard button was pressed and I put on a turn signal, both would stop working. Hazard button in = no turn signal or hazard. Hazard button out = turn signal works fine. I tried to eliminate the switch to see if that would help. If I disconnect the wire harness from the hazard switch, the turn signals will not work either. I also tried swapping relays to see if one was busted and they all work fine in other places.

Sounds like a dirty switch, happens a lot in the UK as the switch is checked for the safety every year so the dirt in the switch causes open circuits, it is a complicated switch, it has many contacts that do different things when in and out, try a salvage yard

Ok a friend gave me a 1996 toyota 4 runner the turn signals only work when u do them maualy rigth or left i CANNOT find the emergency flasher switch location neither ive replaced the flasher relays and the...

Yes your right the emergency flasher switch is the flasher and located in the middle of the dash and it has a triangle on it with a point up and a ! in the middle. It's dark red in color and when depressed lights up red and flashes ( if it's working like it's supposed to ) If the fuse for hazard is blown the flasker won't work on turn singal either. The fuse for the hazard is hot all the time and the turn fuse is only on with the key. You might find that when you find the button and push i thaqt the turn signals work normally and after you find why the flashers doesn't work on hazard then the hazards will work too.
with the hazard switch poped out of the dash ( it just pries out) it'll have lot's of wires one will be hot all the time and another will become hot when you turn the key on. the other wires go to the turn signal switch. If you find that the switch works fine and it still does flash on turn but it does flash on hazard with it on as a hazard go around and look at all of the lights. They have to work on both the frontand the back and the indicators in the cluster ( speedometer head ) If they all work and are bright ( not dim light the running light) The hazard switch is bad as it's the flasher is made into it.

Turn signal switch

You likely have a sticking hazard signal relay or hazard switch. Try turning on the left or right turn signal then depressing and releasing the hazard switch a few times. If the lights begin working you probably have / had a sticking switch. They don't get used often and this is not uncommon. Also could be relay. Thats a cheap fix and easy to locate. Should be with fuse box or near it.

HAVE A 1995 BUICK REGAL WITH NO BRAKE LIGHT EVERYTHING WORK BUT NO BRAKE LIGHTS LIGHTSBULBS FUSES CHECK GOOD. HELP THANKS TOM

I had this same problem. I replaced the turn signal switch in the steering column and it worked great. To test for this, check your lights while wiggling your hazard light button and/or signal lever. When I pulled my hazard button forward, all my lights would come on.
