You may want to have the system checked for pressure, if it comes OK you probably have a weakened radiator/water reservoir cap.

If you are seeing pools of coolant under the truck, you can probably find the leak pretty easily by opening the hood and seeing where it is dripping or get under the car. Fixing it depends on how handy you are and where the hose is located, depending on how dirty you want to get. Once you figure out which hose is leaking, let the engine cool completely. Normally, just a hose clamp on each end which you squeeze with pliars to slide off the pipe or unscrew. May take a little work if they have been on a long time. Get a new one at Autozone or Advanced or similar. With an 03, if you are planning to keep it a while longer, recommend you change all the coolant carrying hoses. If one blew, rest are probably close behind and 11 yrs is a long time for a hose. You don't want to get stuck on the road smewhere.

Get coolant temp sensor checked.

Get the coolant pressure tested, its definitely leaking coolant. You will need to get the coolant running line.

Pressure test will help you to know from where exactly coolant/refrigerant is getting leaked.

probably the water pump. front and center of the engine, the pulley that may or may not have the cooling fan attached. from under the truck a leaking water pump usually leaves some coolant residue on the timing cover and at the front of the oil pan where the wiring harness come across.

Remove the tank & check it out

Either it has a hole or the hose going to it
leaks

is the coolant low again, is the coolant leaking somewhwere,( find leak & fix)it is important that the engine has enough coolant or the repair bills can be enormous

Intake manifold gaskets leaking internally.

Very common the intake manifold gaskets leaking. I've replace tons of them. They can **** air internally and cause a misfire.
