Your chirping sound is a bearing that's on the way out usually a belt tensioner or idler pulley as far as the car dying I need more info and any other maintenance that u have had done Chris
The water pump can also make the chirping noise. You can place a very long screwdriver or metal rod against the pump & place your ear to the end of it to localize the sound. A stethoscope is very helpful, if possible.
COULD BE THE BRAKE PAD WEAR INDICATOR AS THE PADS MIGHT BE CLOSE FOR REPLACEMENT. ALSO A ROCK CAUGHT IN BRAKE/CALIPER AREA CAN CAUSE THE NOISE AS WELL.
sounds like a cam chirping, cant remember if that was normal for that engine, mine did it randomly, oil light could be a bad pressure sensor, hopefully it isnt your bearings wearing out, good luck i hated this car
