Common problem is turning car off with engine not reaching normal operating temp and floods engine. try this. DE-CHOKING PROCEDURE WHEN ENGINE CRANKS BUT DOES NOT START
If the engine does not start, try the following procedure to start the engine using the de-choke mode.
Failure to do so may aggravate the no start condition.
1. Depress and hold the accelerator pedal to the floor and crank the engine for 7-8 seconds. (This will clean out any unburned fuel from the combustion chamber)
2. Release the ignition key to stop cranking.
3. Release the accelerator pedal and start the engine. If the engine starts while performing Step 1 the engine will rev up. Immediately release the ignition key to stop cranking and remove your foot from the accelerator pedal.
^ Do not keep holding the ignition switch in the START position over 10 seconds if the engine does not start. This may result in a weakened or dead battery.
^ Avoid racing the engine or sudden take off right after starting the engine.
^ If the engine still fails to start following the De-choking procedure, have your vehicle inspected by your Mazda Dealer.

for your info there is a recall for this problem. contact mazda.

If you already changed the fuel filter and the reminder light continues to come on you must reset the light, there is a video on YouTube to show you how to reset the reminder light called, how to reset the oil life and fuel filter reminder on a chevy truck duramax, good luck and god bless

A 460 engine that acts like its not getting enough fuel. Will start but runs as if only on half the cylinders missing badly or such.

Check your running fuel pump pressure. If (as I suspect) it's too low, first try changing your fuel filter. After changing the filter, recheck the running fuel pump pressure. If still low, check you fuel pump pressure regulator. If OK, you may need a new fuel pump.

Also probably would be a good idea to replace you air filter.

Good luck!

Run good till the check engine light go off

Check the fuel lines under the car. Don't actually start the car though, just turn the key until you hear the fuel pump turn on. This will load the fuel system and you will be able to see leaks (or sprays) under the car because of the pressure. If there are no leaks, see if the car runs perfect with a full tank of gas compared to a low tank. It should drive good turning left, but it might **** turning right or after a sudden stop. This could mean you have a crack in the seams of your gas tank or that your fuel pump is going bad (or a little of both).

Turn the key forward and listen for the fuel pump to prime. It should sound like a low humming noise comming from the fuel tank area. If you don't hear anything. . . it's most likely your fuel pump or possibly the fuel pump relay.

Any check engine light or codes? My first thought would be tps or possibly fuel filter. As car builds up pressure a clogged filter would cause your symptom.
