There is a light sensor that tells the truck if it is night or day on the dash. Make sure that is it not covered up. If is is not then you may have a bad sensor. It sounds like the sensor is telling the truck that it is night every time the truck is running.
Start the tuck with the park brake on to see if the light come on when it starts. If they do you have a bad relay if not it is most likely that sensor on the dash.
I had a 2002 silverado and there was a recall for the same thing,plus a few others. Take it to a chevy dealer, they will check the vin# to see if your truck is among the recalls,If it is they will fix it, no charge. Any recall on any vehicle, the dealer has to fix it for nothing.
Have someone push & release pedal while at wheel with problem. See if it takes a while or slow to release. If yes, have wrench ready on bleeder screw, and try again, if it sticks/holds, crack bleeder screw, if it releases, I'd replace hose.
