P1400 Saab
When you check engine light came on code P1400 the reason should be Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light). However Saab manufacturer may have a different definition for the P1400 OBD-II Diagnostic Powertrain (P) Trouble Code. So you should chech it on our car models.
Saab P1400 Possible Solution :
The crankshaft sensor signals the fuel injection computer or the ignition control when the cylinders are firing. This causes the ignition coil to provide a spark and the injector to inject fuel into each cylinder at the right time.If either sensor isn't working correctly, the car will run rough and the engine will be less efficient. In later car models, the car's computer can usually keep the vehicle running, but the engine warning light on the dashboard goes on to warn the driver.
p0014 is likely a camshaft solenoid valve, the p0449 is likely a evap vent valve or wiring, and a p1400 (sorry for this one) is likely a cylinder head. based on the codes you asked you have the 4.2l L6 motor.
P1400 Sub-Thottle Position Sensor Malfunction PO120 Throttle position Sensor Malfunction
Sound like the throttle position sensor is acting up, you might have to flash the computor when installing a new sensor. check.
code p1400 is a DPF EGR sensor CIRCUIT LOW VOLTAGE detected. most likely is a problem with the wiring to the egr or dpfe sensor. the pinpoint tests for code p1400 instruct you to test all wiring before replaceing the egr or dpfe sensor
The P1400 code is for the EGR solenoid and not for the valve. The
solenoid control the opening and closing of the valve. You should check
the solenoid hoses and the connector. Also check if there is voltage at
the green/yellow wire.
The DPFE sensor is usually not hard to
change. There are 2 small rubber hoses that run from the EGR tube to it...
Replace DPFE sensor, reset engine fault codes. The Ford one is a good one and rockauto.com
carries Airtex. Sometimes I hear that this change always need replace EGR valve to delet all codes. Test it.
In order to give you accurate information. I need size of engine example 2.0 L 3.0L. but code P1400 means Differential Pressure feedback EGR circuit low input. Maybe your differential oil is low.
This may have to do with a bad wiring. Check all the wiring associated with EGR operation. Whenever a computer throws a code about high or low circuit voltage, it is usually attributed to abnormal wiring.
gadiame: The code P1400 is for the EGR valve and Evap canister purge control solenoid valve circuit.
An improper voltage signal is being sent to the ECMthrough the solenoid valve.
As far as whether the engine using a timing belt or gear? You mean chain? This engine uses a timing chain.
