I have a 99 blazer s-10 with 145k miles. Sometimes when the engine is cold, after I get started, the truck hesitates, sputters and bucks until it shifts up. After I've drive for 30 minutes at 65 mph, the problem goes away when I am stopping and starting again. It is worse if I start out going uphill.

A great place to start would be a tuneup. Plugs and wires, cap and rotor. If the check engine light is on, have the codes read. Places like Autozone and Advance auto parts will do this for you for free. Their hope is that you will buy parts from them.

Sure, the more the throttle and the longer its open the more gas is being injected so if the spark is not there it will spotter. I think you have nothing to loose with an ignition tune-up. It'll be more economical than taking it to a mechanic and still ending up with the same problem. You should change the fuel filter also it could be clogged and there is'nt enough fuel delivered at these speeds. You can also try a fuel injector cleaning solution the kind you pour in the gas tank. This might work for you.

99 Lexus ES300 - Car hesitates & sputters when starting off usually until 2nd gear kicks in & sometimes when going uphill. However, no CEL. Ideas?

The flexible accordion hose that connects the MAF to the throttle body might have a small crack in it. They are sometimes hard to see, especially if in the accordion folds or underneath. Starting off or going uphill will result in enough torque to lift one side of the engine enough to open the crack and cause hesitation.

The car warms up and then starts sputtering and bucking

When your engine is running lean that means it's not getting enough fuel.So if it's one side (or bank) of the motor then possibly you have an injector problem on that side. You'll want to get a fuel pressure test to see if the fuel system pressure is up to specifications. Then get the injectors tested. These tests are simple and realitivly cheap.

1989 toyota supra hesitates and won't start

If Engine Starts with accelerator pedal depressed , check idle speed control valve (if equipped) and wiring connection. Did you check for vacuum leaks. Do you know if your ignition timing is correct? How did you check your fuel pump? I take it no codes have been set, so if not there are several things to check for when the engine stalls #1 is to check cold start injector and cold start injector time switch. If engine stalls sometimes- check airflow meter and connectors You can tap the connector or relay or wiggle and notice if there is a slight change in the engine idle.

99Sierra 6.0l Gas. Bucks,sputters,pops when cold for only a 1/2mi

Could be an engine or air temperature sensor problem or a dirty throttle body.
You can check the values of the sensors with an ohmeter getting the specs hot and cold from a manual or your local auto parts store.
The throttle body needs a spray cleaner designed for throttle bodies only as some may damage plastics.
