Did you reset the computer because if you don't the computer does'nt reconize the new sensor and it will run as if you did'nt even replace it.You can reset it with a scan tool,or take the ground cable off battery for 30 seconds or pull the ECM fuse then put it back.

I got a 98 ford escort i was bout 2 go hme n i knw it mi car wen off at mi so wen i got mi cat 2 mi place i seen mi raditor tube came unloose n i didnt hve no more coolant .wen i put it bak it doesnt wanna...

Sounds very serious.
When you drove your car without coolant, it overheated the engine and may have caused the pistons to seize up in the cylinders. When that happens, the engine is ruined.
Since a 98 and almost 20 years old, it would not be worth it to try to repair such expensive damage. Sorry.

Keeps failing emission check engine light not on

As you probably know by now there is no way to pass an emissions test as long as the check engine light is on....Your car is what they call an OBD2 system... You need to have the diagnostics codes pulled by a special tester specifically for OBD 2 systems... Once codes are pulled fix if necessary any problem and have the codes cleared... This will turn the check engine light off an enable you to pass smog providing your car is running properly...

Hi Wiz, 2005 pontiac Grand prix GTP.106,000 mi. I

this is true about the cheap aftermarket catalytics, i have seen them fail inspection when they were brand new. if the numbers were fairly close to the maximum limits, an GM cat will almost certainly make it pass, they are being honest with you. these are generally pretty bullet proof cars, i would be interested in hearing some of the other problems you have experienced! good luck!

I HAVE A 1998 FORD ESCORT THAT CRANKS OVER BUT WILL NOT START. TRYED STARTER FLUID, AND I DO HAVE SPERK AT THE PLUGS. ANY SUGESTIONS?

Check compression. This car is fuel injected right? Check for fuel at injectors.

Timing belt jumped... why?

This can be caused by not tensioning the belt corectly. When fitting a new belt you should allways replace the tensioner, and make sure the water pump pulley is in good working order. Its always wise to get your timming belt from the dealer.as others are nown to be faulty.Fit new belt follow manuel when doing so.good luck
