When the check engine light is flashing, it means that the system has detected a misfire condition that can cause damage to the catalytic converter if not repaired. Try to drive the vehicle as little as possible until the problem can be addressed. Look for bad coil pack or shorted injector or driver

I have a 99 crown vic intercepter that is hesitating when i push on the gas.also the check engine light is flashing

Can't solve the problem without getting codes from scanner, but you should absolutely not drive a car with the check engine light "flashing" as this is an indication from the computer that serious engine damage will occur if you continue driving. This is with any car with a flashing check light.

I have a 1998 ford crown vic police intercepter and the transmission is sticking in first gear and when i let off the gas it shifts. what could be the problem? and oh i already did a trans flush.

thereis a transmission module i believe, and that tells it when to shift. if they didn't have them in that year model, then a vacuum line will also cause that

I put a 1997 4.6 police intercepter engine in a 92 crown vic but i am having problems with wiring. what should I do or what can I do

you need to describe the problems.

The engine computer may not be compatible with this engine. It may require the PCM from a police intercepter vehicle. Do you have the calibration code from the vehicle the engine came out of?

Most of the sensors and actuators are the same for police and regualr car for the same model year. You probably need a wirng diagram book for a 1992 and a 1997 so you can compare.

I may have one or both. If yes, I would sell fro $7 each plus $2 shipping each. Let me know and I will look.

1992 crown vic with 78K miles. Started skipping

Replace you Maf sensor and have a nice day. lol does the hesitation go away when you let off the gas. does it buck hesitate and misfire under load? most common problem is the maf sesnor.
easy to change. don't buy a used part it may develop the same problem after a little while. you can try cleaning the wire inside with brake cleaner (not intake cleaner). it may or may not help.
