My car alarm is blinking but the remote doesn't work. I already replaced the battery to the remote so I know that's not the problem. If I open the car the alarm goes off and doesn't allow me to start the car. The alarm stays on for a long time acts like its going to stop and then starts all over again. I tried cut off switch but that doesn't do anything. I finally raised hood and touched battery posts. Alarm stopped but I still couldn't start the car. Then I closed doors to the car and the alarm light started blinking again but the remote wouldn't work so I didn't open the doors again thinking the alarm would start again and never stop. What should I do? I think the alarm is attached someway to my starter. How can I dismantle the alarm and get my car to start again?

I have the same problem sometimes with my 2005 ford focus, Yesterday, When in the car, I shut off the car, and about to get out of the car, somehow it triggered the alarm, it went off, but my remote needed batteries. but now my remote stays lit blue i don't know why. But also if I set my alarm from the remote my alarm will go off for some reason.

I just replaced the battery of my 2004 f150 to a gel battery and now my alarm will not allow my truck to turn on. I think it locked itself.

You can try switching the key to the "on" position then open the hood and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and reconnect after 2minutes. this will allow the alarm to be '"reset" and will recognize that you have the key for the vehicle.

You have to get out of the car and put the key in the door and open the lock... this problem occurs when you are in the car and you use the lock button on the door.. the car arms when you lock the doors and unarms when you unlock the doors

I have a problem. I can not get into my Jaguar. The car would not start last time I got into it so I was going to charge the battery and try again but I can not get into the car.

As i understand your quest you cant open the doors? Can you open the back trunk? If so you can disassamble the back seat wall and enter this way to the car. Post back.

Alarm went off, now the central locking doesn't work

use the car key itself from outside the vehicle with everything closed: use key in drivers door outside door lock and manually lock and unlock the door. check if fixed, may have to do a few times. i do believe the vehicle is in theft mode.

I dont have the remote to the stock alarm on my 2003 hyundai sonata and my alarm wont turn off and my car wont start

I know this sounds obvious, but did you run your battery dead? If you don't know, get the battery checked.as for as tuning off the alarm... Just simply disconnect your negative battery cable. This will reset the alarm. This doesn't solve the problem but makes it less annoying while figuring it out. What about the battery in your remote, is it dead? Look for any wires from the alarm that may be frayed, cut, or corroded. Hope this helps.

The remote battery died and after replacing it the remote doesn't work, the red led blinks but the door won't open.

The remote needs to be programmed when the battery get's replaced. You will most likely have to take it to a dealer to have it done.

Battery in the remote died and now the alarm keeps going off when we try to do anything. we replaced the battery in the remote but the car won't start and the alarm keeps going on

When the alarm goes off, it disables the starter circuit. You'll want to have your key fob (remote) checked for proper operation at an authorized Hyundai Service Department. If you inserted the new battery in backwards, the remote will not work. It also needs to be the remote originally programmed for the vehicle.

Car remote not working

Sounds like you need a remote, or the remote lost its program. You need to check at the dealership to be sure.

You need to first look under the drivers side dash area near the hood release/fuse panel area and see if there is a valet switch. The switch will look like a little toggle or a push switch. After you locate it, turn the ignition switch to the on position(dont start it) and flick the valet to the opposite position it is in now. If done correctly in most cases the red system light will stay a constant instead of off or blinking indicating you are in valet mode. Next try to start the engine. If this doesnt work you need to remove the alarm system and repair the ignition switch wiring or replace the electrical portion of the ignition switch. The aftermarket alarm cuts into the ignition switch wires and bypasses the start circuit through the alarm module. When disarmed the alarm completes the circuit and allows the car to start. Good luck hope this helps and please rate this.
