1997 Acura CL Two electrical problems. Not sure if they are related. 1. Dash light does not work. Under the hood, the 15 amp fuse for "Small Light" blows immediately when key is turned in ignition. 2. Taillights do not work. I replaced both bulbs. That did not help. I cannot locate a fuse labeles "Tail Lights" or anything similar to that. Also, I am missing the fuse cover for the interior fuse box. i checked all fuses both under the hood and interior driver's side, and they seem to be fine.

is it the seat belt buzzer , on?
new car to you?
the operators guide covers all ways it can buzz, many.
if not, then use a rubber hose to hear, I use 1/4" I.D fuel hose,
and listen under dash, for who is buzzing, once we establish who
when work why.

Not sure about your car but on my KIA the dome and rear gate light have switches on the light assemblies themselves for on/off all time/on with door. Check to see if you have same. Also, there may be another "dash" switch, typically on the dash dimmer switch which may be turned all the way from dim to off. Check your dash dimmer switch. Relays are typically in a fuse box under the hood.

if you have a premium sound system you will have a amplifier under your dash somewhere this could be a problem. if the amp dont work your head will and you wont get any sound. if its not a premium system from the manufacturer its prob a speaker ground problem since they normaly use a universal ground for all 4 speakers.

To all you Acura alarm sufferers. In the immediate term to appease your neighbors - open the door and reclose, leaving the door ajar enough that the interior door light is still on. Be sure to turn off the roof light so no one is cued your car door is ajar.
When you can go under the hood, remove the fuse - I think it is 15 - the fuse box cover has a diagram. I left the fuse out for a couple of hours and reinserted it. That broke the pattern for 7 months.
It is 89 degrees in chicago today, the alarm went off at the train station and I got a ticket for noise disturbance.
It's time to look at the fuse box again. i think extreme temps are the problem.

STARTER RELAY IS UNDER THE HOOD AND UNDER THE DASH.IT COULD BE THE STARTER SOLENOID ON STARTER BAD.IT WILL CAUSE NO CRANKING PROBLEMS.

there should be 2 fuse panels you need to check there should be 1 under the dash and 1 under the hood

your fuse blew its under the hood in the fuse box its a 15 amp fuse and its called small light or something like that i just had the same problem and that fixed it
