I have a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche when it rains water comes inside the cab somehow carpet is soaked on drivers side and speakers on drivers side front and back will not play. Any idea where the water could be coming in maybe has nothing to do with the speakers but they work if it hasn't rained in a few days. The passenger side works well all the time. Thank you for your time.

Check the seal around the drivers door. Try to determine the level of saturation as you move your hand from the door to the center console. If it is wetter closer to the door, this would indicate the door seal of the door window seals are damaged and need replacing.

Floor on drivers side just in front of my seat gets soaked after a rain

Hi Ruth
Probably running down from bad seal in windscreen. Get someone to hold hose above bottom edge of windscreen while you check inside for leaking water running down firewall into carpet. Probably on drivers side just above where carpet first gets wet. Once you find hole in caulking compound where water gets in... plug it with silicone silastic.
Cheers

Can anyone pass on some advice concerning my 2008 Highlander leaks when it rains. I recently noticed that whenever it rains the carpet on the driver side gets soaked. I took it to the dealer and they...

I had similar on 02 Highlander. Source was leak from around window trim (rust) and roof racks connector entering and going down the windshield post behind the trim. Gently remove the interior plastic trim piece to the left of the windshield to see any water coming down there. Find source, disassemble whatever is required and use good sealant like supra expert.

I have a 1997 olds lss that is clearly leaking water through the firewall on the drivers side and puddles up on the floor in the front and makes its way to the back it is only on the drivers side and lets...

The leak is probably at the intake fresh air vents under the windshield wipers. The only other thing is the windshield seal and that would not make such a mess. You can remove the mesh and clean out the pocket. Then you might be able to seal it with some silicone. I hope this helps you.

With heavy rains the carpet on my passenger side front is soaked

SOUNDS LIKE THERE IS A LEAK COMING FROM SOMEWHERE! COULD BE A SOFT PLUG ON THE FIREWALL UNDER THE HOOD! IF IT IS REMOVED, WATER WILL ENTER THE CAB THERE! OR POSSSIBLY UNDER THE CAR ON PASSENGER SIDE! IF IT IS UNDERNEATH, THE TRIM, AND CARPET WILL HAVE TO BE RAISED TO REPLACE THE PLUG FROM UNDER THE CARPET!

Water leaking into 2005 Camry 6 cyl under carpet drivers side.

I think that I can help you. It sounds like your drain-tube is plugged up. Get in the passenger side, and pull the carpet back from under the glove box. Look for a black rubber pipe that goes from a black box, and pokes thru the firewall, on the passenger side. Remove the hose from the box, and have a container ready to catch water. If water comes out of the black box, your drain hose is plugged up. Clean out the clog, and you will be golden.
