You need to check for an intake leak, use a can of carb spray and spray around the top of the engine, if a leak is there the engine will change speed when you get near the leak with the spray.
Remember a sensor trouble code does not mean the part is bad, it means there is a problem with the signal from that sensor, it can be the sensor or the wiring to name a few. For instance a bad injector can give you a O2 sensor code.

Are you sure your idle ports ( size of pinhole) in carb aren't plugged with something? What happens if it starts to die, and you give it a quick squirt of WD-40 , down throat of carb?

SOURCE: 92 mpv 3 liter loses injector pulse at @ 2000rpm

what it seems to me if your losing injector pulse is
-crank sensor
- or communication BUS between the ECU/PCM

-why crank sensor because it gives a signal for when that tells the PCM when
it should send fuel

-BUS communication because if its not getting a good signal then it doesn't know where
the crank is in position to the camshaft

SOURCE: CLEANING THE MAF SENSOR ON MY '99 INTRIGUE

You don't clean them, you get a new one. Usually if it's the MAF, it'll start and die, start and die. If your's is stalling, it'll be the idle air control valve, or the fuel filter, or the idle control system, or a vacuum leak at the intake or vacuum hoses. Good luck.

A/c will not shut off & heat will not come on

The difference here is important...., are you sure the air conditioning is running or is the heater just blowing cold air ? I would guess just cold air which may be caused by several things. First , check the radiator level (when engine is cold) to make sure its full. If it is, then disconnect heater lines and give it a good flushing in both directions because in all probability you have either a plugged heater core or lines. The taurus of that era had a weird heater bypass system designed by some escapee from a mental institution. People have solved insufficient heat problems by removing the by-pass and capping off the ends, which increased water flow to heater. Also, you could check the blend door which should be visible if you remove the ashtray assembly. You should be able to see the shaft turning as you adjust the knob from hot to cold. Try these things first as the probability of a cure to your problem is high.

Have a 07 impala runs great till ur rpm meter goes past 4000rpm then drops down to 0 runs bad after shut down engine for around 10 mins then runs good again check with scanner no codes

Could be bad ignition module. They have a low speed and high speed section, and have a habit of failing only as they get hot. Erratic behavior can be tough to troubleshoot. Also could be bad coil(s) or even poor fuel pressure leaning out at high rpms. Check plugs for color and condition.

2001 Ford Taurus running hot

First thing to check when the engine is cold is that if there is enough antifreeze in the radiator and after you run the engine for about 5/10 minuter check both the rad hoses to see if they are both at the same temperature, if the return hose which is the bottom one is cold then replace the thermostat. If both hoses are hot or same temp then make sure the radiator fan comes on?

My Neon, just shuts off when I drive it than a mile. I've had Fire stone to do a diagnostic test on my car, which they didn't have a answer to why it was just shutting off. I've replaced a new camshaft...

may be distributor or the fuel pump, fuel pump usually will run fine cold the once it gets hot it will backfire and lose power, distributor will run fine then like quit once it get hot. Hope this helped Tim

99 Taurus heater not working.

sounds like you may have an air bubble trapped. Try loosening the radiator cap & running the engine at 1500 rpms till the thermstat opens & see if you can "burp" the air out. You may lose a little coolant this way. shut off car & recheck coolant in radiator and reservoir bottle. Just because reservoir is full, doesn't mean radiator is full.

No Heat in 99 Taurus

Just finished fixing my daughters 1999 taurus heat. It would blow warm only when running down the road. At idle it blew cold. I started with replacing thermostat, and water pump because they are the easier fix. Still did not help. Then I replaced the heater core. A daunting job but not that hard to move the dash slighly out of the way to replace. There is a good write up at tarusclub.com. After that, heat was better but at idle, it would still blow cool sometimes. Researched and found answer. Park car on the steepest hill you can find with front of car up. Start car and take off reservoir cap. Let car warm up and keep rpms about 1500. After a while the fluid will come running out of the car and all over the place but it will bring air bubbles with it. Reduce rpm, add more fluid and repeat about 3 times. It will make a mess but after that, the heater works perfectly. We get heat long before the temp gage indicates any and it never blows cold unless you lower the temp.
