Immediately check fluid level. If level is low, fill to fill lines. If not low, your P/S pump is going bad and you should look to replace it before it seizes and causes the belt to break and potentially leave you stranded some where...

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. You need to check the fluid first. When it is low, it will cause the noise. If it is full, the pump may be going out or needs worked on or replaced. Check for leaks first. If the fluid is level and there is no leaks, service your power steering pump.
