On a 2003 Buick Regal, When I start the engine the drivers side window rolls down, then times out and wont roll up for about a minute. It wouldn't usually be a problem, but it has been a rainy May and June and it dosent know the differance. I hope it is an easy fix.

Switch on window panel faulty or electric motor on regulator faulty.

BUT IT SEE,S MORE LIKE A RELAY

Need to get a wiring diagram. Buy a book and follow the wiring schematic. It should help you out majorly. Can't really work on electrical issues without one.

If its both windows and the problem started with both sides at the same time, then the problem is not with the motors. I would check the owners manual to see if there is a specific relay or fuse that controls the rear windows. also.....and I don't mean to insult anyone's intelligence here, check to make sure the "child safty lock" on the drivers side door panel is not engaged. I've seen that happen before as well.

that "lock windows" button only works for the other windows. You may have a faulty power window regulator!!

This problem is very likely caused by the drivers side power window switch being defective, I have seen this very same problem in the shop more than once and the new master switch fixed it. here is the part number and price from www.Rockauto.com

Roll down the drivers side window. Close the door. Turn the key to the On position but not cranking. Let it sit there for ten minutes with the key on. After ten minutes turn the key off and then try to start the car. I hope this helps.

The first thing that I would do is check for electricty at the motors them sel and work your way back.If there is elec. at the window motor it's self susspect a motor problem.Remove the motor to see if it spins (but it dosen't me its good it could be week)next check for binding in the window mecanism.
