Question about 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
It may be a bad tps ( throttle position sensor ). it causes transmission shift issues, bucking, jerking, idle surging, engine cut off, surge while crusing down highway. if this does not solve problem, it may be a sticking valve body in transmission. have a good day !! for an automatic tranny.

I had this exact same problem in my 1995 Chevy Silverado. It ended up being the shift solenoid in the transmission. While they were in there I had the transmission fluid and filter changed. It cost me about $500 for everything.
My truck has 262k miles and is still running well.
